The Sundown Roughneck Band

Sundown High School takes great pride in its 110+ member 2A band, which is made up of students in grades 8-12.  The Roughneck Band has earned 37 consecutive Sweepstakes awards, and the marching band has made 28 appearances at the Texas State Marching Contest, including a 6th place finish in 2023.  Our band program is committed to loving others, working hard, and embracing excellence.
